Rush Limbaugh, just minutes ago on his radio program, announced that Operation Chaos will be shifting; convincing conservatives to cross over and vote for John McCain.

This would appear to be a backhanded endorsement of McCain and his campaign. Operation Chaos and Limbaugh called on Republicans to cross over and vote for Hillary Clinton, the purpose Limbaugh has stated was to bloody up Barack Obama. Looking at the voting demographics it appears the operation has been successful. McCain now hopes part II is just as effective.

The following comments were made by McCain at a townhall meeting; more to come later.

“I don’t think you could make a blanket statement about pre-emptive war, because obviously, it depends on the threat that the United States of America faces,” McCain told his audience at Bridgewater Associates Inc., a global investment firm. (Roadrunner Internet and AP)

“If someone is about to launch a weapon that would devastate America, or have the capability to do so, obviously, you would have to act immediately in defense of this nation’s national security interests.” (Roadrunner and AP)

Seems Ms. Rice is certainly interested in the veep job. A somewhat surprising turn of events.
