Leon Pennetta has been named the CIA Chief, interesting move but one that is actually very logical.
One of George W. Bush’s biggest mistakes was not cleaning the shadow government the federal bureaucracies such as the CIA have become. As the years have progressed these bureaucracies have been shaped by the past presidents and it is critical for the new president to clean out the old, when their ideologies conflict. Failure to do so will result in a powerful branch of the government, seemingly under the control of the president, working to undercut the Commander and Chief instead of working with them.
The nomination of Lean Pennetta serves one purpose; to control or weed out those that might counter the ideology of Barack Obama. An experienced politician and former White House Chief of Staff, Pennetta is a master at the game and that is his one and sole purpose at the CIA, to play it and win it. Obama does not want a CIA that is constantly leaking actions someone deems wrong, such as the problem Bush faced with nearly every turn.
The nomination of Pennetta is a perfect move and one that will only benefit Obama in the future.

Have you ever stopped and looked in the mirror and asked, really asked: Am I a liberal or a conservative across the board?
Here is what I am talking about. The farmer, where I live in the middle of conservative America, is both a conservative and a liberal. They are conservative when it comes to guns, they want no government involvement. They are liberal when it pertains to abortion, they want big, intrusive government. Conservative when dealing with welfare, liberal with farm subsidies. Now let’s look at the socialite liberal. Liberal when dealing with environment, government should dictate how people live to protect the environment. Conservative with many civil liberties, all about less government. Liberal with diet and eating habits, bigger government, more involvement.
So, you see this cuts both ways. Conservatives are liberals and liberals are conservatives; confused? Look at this way, almost every American is a big government liberal when dealing with issues they deem correct and implying those to others. People should behave in a specific manner and the government is correct in enforcing it. Yet, when dealing with issues that they either disagree with and/or apply to them, they suddenly become small government conservatives.
If this were not the case, the libertarian party, which supports an individual, freedom, small government agenda would have long since taken power. Yet, they have not and the reason is simple, because they are not liberal/conservative on a issue basis, they are classic liberals on all issues.

John Meacham called Barack Obama a creepy cult of personality. Noting he is bothered by his singular personality and controlling of everything. Where was this commentary before the election? If Meacham felt Obama was a cult of personality, isn’t this something he should have express prior to the election? I have been told by more than one person that the entire acceptance speech was a bizarre, almost disturbing function. Two different non partisian ladies I have spoken with were stunned by the body language of Obama, the constant looking out over the audience slowly, almost waiting for the people to acknowledge his worthiness. The other bothersome aspect was the crying of the Obama’s supporters, so emotionally caught up in the moment of one man, believing the world would be changed.
I hope, no pray for the best, but Barack Obama has a terrifying personality flaw; the belief he is destined to be where he is. It is similar to George W. Bush, who reportedly believes God destined him for the presidency. Obama, although perhaps not God, clearly feels the same…A very scary and disturbing mindset.

This morning I came across this interview on you tube. Honestly, I am stunned by what I heard. Watch this video and pay close attention to what Obama says about the Constitution. I have never heard a public official be so wrong about its intent or purpose. Listen to his words as Obama says it clearly, leaving very little doubt as to where he stands.
Finally, many of the Obama attacks focused on his younger days from college. I found most of them to be a bit pointless as honestly who isn’t a radical of some sort in college? But, please note the date of this video, it is 2001. Far removed from his college days.
There can be little doubt this race is going to be close…Get ready for a long night.

Monday Ramblings:The presidential race is coming to an end and most Americans are thankful and relieved. Many Americans have two things in common concerning Barack Obama and John McCain. 1: They don’t really like either one. 2. They wish it were all over.
Democrats are feeling confident and they should. Even Rush Limbaugh sounded frustrated this afternoon on his talk show, indicating the king of talk senses Obama is pulling away. There is one snag in the Dem party; the Zogby Poll, which has Obama and McCain within the margin of error. The polls are an interesting lot and I am not sure what to make of them.
Remember 2004 and
Ohio? Well, there is a sector that runs from the Northwest corner to the just north of
Cincinnati that played a huge role in re-electing George W. Bush. My point here, to be very frank, this area could come out strong in favor of McCain, not because of John McCain, but because Barack Obama is black. I have suspicions that this area is not ready for a black president.
The environment is ripe for Obama as McCain completely destroyed his maverick appeal with his conventional political actions during the banking meltdown. This is shown in the Zogby poll which noted McCain’s support among Republicans was below 80 percent after being nearly 90% just a few weeks ago. In the end look for many voters who had considered McCain to stay home or vote third party.

Let’s all stand up and give George W. Bush a big round of applause. This man has now managed to not only stomp all over civil liberties, he has nearly federalized public schools and is now on the verge of socializing the financial mortgage sector; great job Dubya, it is official, you have managed to screw up every single aspect of this nation.
Word is spreading this morning that George Bush is now considering taking stakes in numerous different banks around the nation. This is on top of the ballot, which will eventually bye up millions of dollars of mortgages. Add that to John McCain’s proposal of $300 billion dollars to buy mortgages and what we have is a nationalized banking system.
Yet, folks such as Sean Hannity continue to tell their listeners that this election is about the fundamental ideas that made this country great and protecting them. Um, earth to Sean, these fundamentals, which I assume you mean free market, are being swallowed up and it is your party doing it. Your guy, Dubya has moved this nation closer to a centralized controlled system then any other president since Lyndon Johnson. Perhaps if Bush would have taken oh, maybe, three days to explain the situation to the American people his regulatory ideas would have passed and Fannie and Freddie might have been contained. But, nope, he did his usual and that is nothing.
Now the guy you support has sponsored legislation that eliminated freedom of speech, is fully engulfed in the socialist movement disguised as environmentalism and is in support of the government buying mortgages to rescue reckless consumers and subsidize ignorant financial behavior.
Some struggle. How conservatives can march off to the ballot box and continue voting for these frauds is a mystery worthy of Sherlock Holmes.

Who Am I and what I am doing here? With apologies to Adm. James Stockdale, all fiscal conservatives supporting John McCain must be asking themselves this question. Their presidential nominee announced last night he is proposing a $300 billion plan that would buy mortgages and allow the government to re-negotiate mortgages with individual holders. The piercing scream coming over the horizon is the death of another private sector.
Such a plan is almost unthinkable and would completely socialize the mortgage market, closing it off and ending another sector of the free market. It is also nothing more than a shameless pandering to voters by McCain, while breaking the backbone of the nation. This is the second glaring failure of McCain to become what he professes; a maverick.
He blindly voted for the bailout plan laced with pork and now he is willing to socialize the financial sector to achieve political success. This morning I would encourage all fiscal conservatives to leave the presidential box empty on November 4 or vote for an alternative candidate. There is nothing worth having when it means sacrificing the principals and ideals that made this nation great.

People of America, welcome your new leader…Henry Paulson Juuuunior. That’s right the Secretary of the Treasury is now the most powerful man in the United States or who ever becomes the next Secretary. Why you ask, because as usual the wording in the bailout bill in the Senate is vague and open but one thing is made clear; the Secretary is in charge of the welfare of the United States mortgage system or as we have been told the economy. What does this mean? Does a cabinet member with zero voter accountability now have open power to act as he seems necessary for the welfare of the economy? Can he pass taxes, enforce laws, build new houses, foreclose on individuals, print more money, invade an oil producing country? Where does it stop and why are we giving the government this type of power? The forefathers must be rolling around in despair. This bill will make the Patriot Act look like the Bill of Rights.
Secondly and not surprisingly the Senate is tossing on their pet programs, bloating the bill that will surely go well beyond a trillion dollars when enacted. Another wonderful bill passed in a panic and will soon be questioned by everyone.

It looks like the bailout plan is failing in the House…Hurray for capitalism and rationality. If the boys on Wall Street want to sleep with those in D.C., they can pay their own bill!
