The New Yorker and the Obamas…

Published by aebersole at 12:12 pm under Current News Edit This

The New Yorker has gotten what it wanted, lots of attention. The liberal magazine has a new cover, showing Barack and Michelle Obama in the Oval Office. Barack is wearing a turban and Michelle holding a machine gun. The office is in disarray and the two are in the midst of a fist bump.

The official stance from the magazine is the cover is satirical, using what they said would be the attacks of Republicans on Obama. The Obama campaign is hot and has demanded an apology. The McCain camp is of course doing it’s usual holy than now dance.

Come on people this is a funny cover and let’s face it, all politicians have become cartoon characters. With a single bound they can switch values, depending on the audience, spend money in a blink of an eye and snatch your wallet without ever being caught.

Laugh it off Obama, any voter that believes you are that character is already against you.

If this same cover had been done about John and Cindy McCain I doubt that you would be so supportive of it. What really needs to be dealt with in this country is the ignorance and underlying racims and prejudices that have been allowed to be swept under the rug.

We have no right telling other nations how to run their country when we ignore that major issues that plague this nation.
