Mixed Signals
Gallup has released a poll asking a number of questions concerning gas and high prices. The signals the America people are sending, are well confusing.
People oppose rationing of gas, but support gas price controls. The fact is rationing is born out of price controls, which will further reduce supply. Even more dumbfounding is the fact they oppose removing the federal gas tax, which again would lower cost.
The other interesting twist is the now support of domestic drilling, something that was not true just a year ago.
There are some encouraging signals in this poll, but the fact a majority supports price controls is bothersome. One only needs to look at the past to see the disaster created by artificial price controls; it is ugly.

Gas prices are just outrageous these days!
Well, it is a ME society, what can we say. I have to look at the stats if they have them by age group, maybe people don’t know about the past.
One question I have is what are the cons of domestic drilling?
