McCain’s Vision of a New World

Published by aebersole at 9:26 am under Current News Edit This

John McCain, looking to the future proclaimed what the nation will look like in 2013, under his presidency.

The Republican nominee proclaimed “permanent campaign will come to an end,” noting that. “We are in different parties,  not different nations.” McCain proclaimed fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan will become sporadic. He went on to support a flat tax, the death or capture of Osama Bin Laden and the controlling of government spending.

The speech offered something for both liberals and conservatives, offering a work program for illegal immigrants, appeasing liberals and the closing of the United Nations, something conservatives see as long overdue.

Finally, McCain noted he would seek a second term, ending speculation that his presidency would one and done.
