Stunning New Poll
A new poll by Franklin Marshall College Poll found that 1 in 5 Democrats would vote for John McCain if their candidate lost the Democratic primary.
The question is, will that sentiment remain after the emotions of the hotly contested primary simmer down? As Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton throw punches, the bad blood between supporters continues boiling, but that is the now.
The question for McCain is will this emotional tide continue into the summer, after the Democrats have decided on a candidate? Although it is possible that some disgruntled Dems will pick McCain, it is more likely that most will take a deep breath and pull the lever for either Clinton or Obama or stay home.
