Bush Backs McCain
President George W. Bush announced his endorsement of John McCain, just hours after the Senator clinched the Republican nomination.
In 2000 Bush defeated McCain in a hotly contested primary. Many have speculated that the loss left McCain with some disdain for Bush. Things started to change in 2006 after McCain tossed his support behind the surge in Iraq
